Knowledge Base Items

KBase SB displays the items area when a knowledge base is opened or created. This gives you the ability to view all the items in your knowledge base from one list. You can view full data for each item and you can edit data for any item too. If you can't find the item you're looking for KBase SB includes a search function to help you find it.

To add a new item, simply click the Add New Item button. This will bring up the Add Item screen where you can input data for items, such as:

If you have a similar item you wish to add, save time with the item copy feature, or if you wish to remove an item, it can be deleted after you have confirmed you want to remove it.

Publish Your Knowledge Base

Once you have added some or all of your items, you can publish the knowledge base in various ways.

Knowledge Base Website

Once you have added all the items to your knowledge base, you can share it with the world via a website. No technical skills are required or complicated procedures needed - Simply click the Website button.

Then choose a username and enter your email address. These are required so an account can be set-up for you. (No fees will occur).

Your website will automatically be created, and all of the item data and images will be loaded to the website - please note this may take some time depending on your connection speed.

That's it - your website is live. You will be provided with links to your website and instructions on how to use these links. Now you can share your knowledge base with the world!

Back-Up Your knowledge base

After spending time creating your knowledge base imagine how bad it would feel if it was lost due to your computer failing or being stolen. This risk can be eliminated if you back-up your knowledge base regularly.

There are two options - you can back-up the knowledge base to a folder and save it on a CD-R, USB Memory Stick or a Portable/Removable Hard Drive.

Importing knowledge bases
If the worst did happen, but you backed-up your knowledge base(s), starting where you left off couldn't be easier. Simply download KBase SB to your new computer, click the New knowledge base button, and choose the Import option.

Then locate your knowledge base to import it.

Sharing knowledge bases
You can share your whole knowledge base simply by doing a back-up to a CD-R, USB Memory Stick or a Portable/Removable Hard Drive - which can then be imported to any other KBase SB program.
